Thanks to its clever construction, the Ibanez AAD50-LG produces a bass-rich sound that unfolds quickly and over a wide area even with light touches. The deep grand dreadnought body and the X-M bracing undoubtedly help. At the same time the flat neck offers a comfortable playability in all 20 frets. In addition, the straight string course at the headstock and the optimally tuned Hardware promise a clean intonation on the entire scale length of 650 mm. Thanks to their fine transmission ratio of 18:1, the 6 steel str ings can be tuned easily and at the same time precisely with the chrome-plated die-cast tuners. The appearance of the acoustic guitar is characterized by multi-ply bindings, a multi-ply soundhole rosette and the black pickguard, so that it is rounded off simply and elegantly in combination with the low-gloss finish.

Construction and woods

In order for the Dreadnought to produce a clear and balanced sound, the top is made of solid Sitka spruce. Meanwhile, laminated Sapele back and sides provide warm bass and midrange frequencies. This makes the guitar perfect for fine Pickings and expressive strumming. The flat okoume neck is fitted with a Purpleheart fingerboard that is exceptionally easy to reach in all frets.

Hardware and design

The compensated bridge inlay and the 43 mm wide nut provide an exceptionally accurate intonation on the 650 mm scale. The chromed tuners are arranged in a converging pattern to create the straightest possible string path. As a result, the guitar has a higher tuning stability and a more precise sound development. The appearance is refined by a wafer-thin Low-Gloss-Finish that perfectly highlights the fine grain of the tonewoods used.
