The Ibanez Bass Workshop SRF705-BBF Fretless Brown Burst Flat “Portamento” is aimed at all bassists who are looking for an instrument with the woody sound character similar to that of a double bass and the comfortable playability of an electric bass. Based on the ergonomic Soundgear design, this five-string instrument consists of a neck-thru maple walnut neck with a fretless panga-panga fretboard, which in combination with the factory wound D’Addario Flatwound strings promises a warm singing tone. In addition to the classic Bartolini MK-1 magnetic pickups with active 2-band EQ, the Ibanez SRF705 Portamento also features the Ibanez AeroSilk piezo pickup system with active preamp for authentic acoustic sounds.
