Using their proprietary DSP S1LKi audio engine, Roland’s Mobile UA USB audio interface lets you play back both standard PCM and high-precision DSD audio. Ultra-compact and bus-powered, the Mobile UA gives you two stereo mini jacks, allowing you to connect two sets of headphones simultaneously. Delivering low-latency performance and smooth, unclouded D/A conversion, the Roland Mobile UA’s sound quality and portability make it a useful, high-performance USB audio interface.
The Roland Mobile UA USB interface’s proprietary S1LKi audio engine gives you DSD audio playback at 2.8MHz, and also precisely reproduces traditional PCM audio. Also, by using the same type of 1-bit D/A conversation as used in DSD, the Mobile UA’s PCM playback quality is phenomenally pristine and smooth.
Featuring 2 stereo mini jacks, the Roland Mobile UA USB audio interface lets you connect 2 pairs of headphones, enabling 2 people to monitor the music at the same time. The Mobile UA’s high-output headphone outputs can get pretty loud, which is important in a live sound setting. On top of that, you can give the Mobile UA 4 channels of outputs by configuring your output to 1 headphone output and 1 stereo aux output, further expanding your monitoring options.
DCD, or Direct Stream Digital, is the high-resolution technology behind the next-generation CD standard, Super Audio CD (SACD). With DSD, each sample is captured as a single bit with an ultra-high sampling rate of 2.8MHz, which is 64 times that of conventional CDs. DSD’s dynamic range has been measured at an astounding 120dB, while its frequency response has been measured as being from 0Hz to 100kHz, which is more than twice that of 24/96 PCM audio’s frequency response of 48kHz. In layman’s terms – it sounds phenomenal!
